PRIVACY POLICY

Pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018
Introduction and Definitions

The personal data provided by the user through the website of Ready2Van S.r.l. or communicated at the time of signing the Rental Letter will be processed exclusively in the manner described in this Privacy Policy and in the Cookie Policy, in full compliance with current regulations on the protection of personal data. “Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, including, for example, name, identification number, location data, or other identifying elements. “Processing” means any operation carried out on personal data, with or without the aid of automated processes, such as collection, registration, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or modification, extraction, consultation, use, communication by transmission, dissemination or any other form of making available, comparison or interconnection, restriction, erasure or destruction. Some types of processing require the express consent of the data subject, which will be collected through appropriate methods.

Scope of Communication and Subjects Involved

Personal data may be communicated, exclusively for the purposes indicated below, to:

  • - Ready2Van affiliates and commercial partners;
  • - IT, telematic, and operational service providers;
  • - Banking institutions and credit card/payment service providers;
  • - Companies specialized in fraud prevention and credit recovery;
  • - Competent Authorities and Public Administrations, where required by law;
  • - Insurance companies, legal and tax firms, and companies specialized in debt collection.

Transfer to Third Parties and Outside the EU

Ready2Van does not disclose personal data to third parties who are not involved in the operations or in the fulfillment of legal obligations. If, for technical, organizational, or legal needs, the data should be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), the transfer will in any case take place in compliance with the guarantees provided by Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR, such as:

  • - Adequacy decisions of the European Commission;
  • - Standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission;
  • - Binding corporate rules or other appropriate guarantees.
Legal Basis and Purpose of Processing

Personal data are processed:

  • a. to execute the Rental Letter and provide the services requested (pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letter b, GDPR);
  • b. to comply with legal obligations in civil, fiscal, accounting, administrative, and insurance matters (pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letter c, GDPR);
  • c. based on the legitimate interest of the Controller, to protect company assets and prevent fraud (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter f, GDPR);
  • d. based on the express consent of the data subject, for the sending of commercial and promotional communications, where not related to services already provided (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a, GDPR).
Marketing Activities and Consent

Ready2Van may use contact data (email and mobile number) to send newsletters or communications of a commercial or promotional nature, regarding its own services or third parties. These communications will be sent only with the prior, specific, free, and informed consent of the data subject, which can be revoked at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link or by writing to privacy@ready2van.com. No data will be disclosed or disseminated, nor will profiling or automated decision-making be carried out.

Methods of Processing and Retention Period

The processing is carried out with automated and non-automated tools, with organizational methods and logics strictly related to the purposes indicated. Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use, and unauthorized access. Personal data will be kept for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected and, in any case:

  • - For contractual and accounting purposes, for a period of 10 years from the conclusion of the relationship;
  • - For marketing purposes, for a maximum period of 24 months from the date of consent;
  • - For legal protection in case of disputes or debt recovery, for the limitation periods provided by law.
Rights of the Data Subject

The data subject has the right to:

  • a. Access their personal data and obtain information on the purposes and methods of processing;
  • b. Request the rectification or updating of inaccurate or outdated data;
  • c. Request the erasure of data in the cases provided for by the GDPR;
  • d. Request the restriction of processing, in the cases provided by the regulation;
  • e. Object, in whole or in part, to the processing of personal data;
  • f. Obtain the portability of the data processed with automated tools, in a structured format.

Data Controller

The Data Controller is: READY2VAN S.r.l., VAT number [...], with registered office in [...], reachable at the email address privacy@ready2van.com. The Controller may designate external data processors, responsible for specific processing activities, operating on the basis of formal appointments and written instructions.

Updates and Modifications

This Privacy Policy may be subject to changes and updates. The updated version will always be available on the website www.ready2van.com or communicated through the channels deemed appropriate.
